Search / Cutoff Not Working?

I have my SD profile configured for the following:

Cutoff: DVD

Qualities:
DVD
WEBDL-480p
SDTV

I setup a series today and aimed it at an existing folder. It picked up the episodes in that folder and properly detected them as SDTV.

The problem is, when I search for all episodes in the season, it doesn’t look for replacements for the SDTV episodes. If I go to the episodes and do automatic searches one by one, they will detect the higher quality and download it.

Does anyone know what would be causing this?

Pastebin some debug logs and we can take a look, but off the top of my head, its likely results weren’t returned.

Searching is a bit off at the moment for any series added in the last couple days since the switch away from trakt, but we’re in the process of fixing it.

Ok, any specific procedure you want me to go through to get a good idea of what’s going on? Do you want me to try doing a season search, then episode search to show the “failure” and “sucess”?

Yeah, that will work, best way would be to enable debug logging, clear the log files then do the season and episode search so there isn’t anything else in the logs.

Might not be able to pastebin them in they get too large, but you could pass on a link to dropbox, mega or the like.

Hope there isn’t too much there. I deleted the logs just before I started, then found the line where it started tracking the download and chopped everything after that.

Your indexer return about 80 results for the season search, but 20 for a single episode search, all the ones in season search are unknown quality or foreign releases.

This is likely mostly due to Sonarr not having the TV Rage ID for that series at the moment, something that we’re working on. At this point there isn’t anything you can do to correct this, but we’ll have the IDs fixed up in a future release (hoping we’re not too far away).

I noticed it was giving me all kinds of crazy shit when I did searches for the show Coupling as well, I’m guessing that problem is related.

Do you happen to know, based on your assumption, if RSS feed updates will work the way the single episode automatic searches do?

Yeah, should be pretty similar.
