Scene mapping conflict: Masterchef (PL) releases blocked by MasterChef UK alias (ID: 84489)

Hi,
I’m having an issue with automated downloads for the Polish version of MasterChef. The releases are being rejected due to a conflict with an alias mapped to the UK version.

  • Error message: Masterchef matches an alias for series with TVDB ID: 84489
  • TVDB ID mentioned: 84489 (MasterChef UK)
  • Example release title: Masterchef.S15E03.PL.1080p.WEB-DL.H264-REDACTED

A previous request in the internal form was closed with the note “Same title”. However, even though the release starts with the generic word “Masterchef”, it contains clear Polish language tags (.PL. / .POLISH.).

Right now, the global alias for the UK version overrides the language parser, causing Sonarr to reject these Polish releases instead of matching them to MasterChef (PL).

Could the mapping team please look into this and adjust the exception rules for TVDB ID 84489 so it doesn’t block releases with Polish language identifiers?

Not a dev, but that release is named the way you would expect for a Masterchef (original series) episode with Polish audio.

I’d expect something for Masterchef Poland to be named Masterchef.PL.S15E03…

Yeah, that’s how Sonarr handles it, it doesn’t know that something after the season/episode numbers should actually be part of the series title that comes before the season/episode numbers.

This should be fixed with a recent update to the mappings, but also wouldn’t have been an issue if the naming was better to begin with.
