Possible to search indexer for items that have no category selected?

I am pretty new to the whole ecosystem so I dont know how common it is that a release has no category specified but I spent hours today trying to find out why a release, that is on an indexer I have been using without any issues so far, would not show up for sonarr just to find out that it cant be found because the uploader forgot to set a category.
I have checked “other” but this seemingly does not account for no category at all.

So my simple question is, if it is possible to configure an indexer so releases without any category can be found?
Aside from that I am curious if it is common that a release has no category at all?

No, unless Sonarr allows no categories to be sent for that indexer which may be treated as uncategorized by the indexer, but it may end up returning a lot of nonsense and you’ll miss out on the things that are categorized properly. You should report this particular release to your indexer so they can fix it.
