Phineas and Ferb DVD Order

My apologies if this is in the wrong place, but I’m trying to organize my Phineas and Ferb episodes and it’s essentially impossible with NzbDrone as it stands. The issue arises from the fact that the episodes are aired on TV in a completely different order from the way they’re released on iTunes (where I get my episodes.) This ordinarily wouldn’t be an issue for most shows as you’d just re-assign episode numbers from one order to the other. Phineas and Ferb is a different beast however, as each 22 minute episode actually has 2 separate mini-episodes in it, and the order that they’re stuck together is different between iTunes (and DVDs) and their aired order.

Is there any way to switch Phineas and Ferb over to the DVD Order listed here? http://www.thetvdb.com/index.php?tab=season&seriesid=81848&seasonid=472959&lid=7&order=dvd

Plex might be able to do it with the DVD Order bundle. You’ll have to research it tho.

drone doesn’t support DVD ordering; it uses trakt for the series/episode information, which does not include DVD numbering.

If trakt was to include DVD ordering then we could consider adding support for it.

Bummer. For some reason I thought drone used thetvdb for its info. Ah well… Manual accounting it is I guess. Thanks!

Just curious , why doesn’t drone use thetvdb?

Because some of their data is a mess, trakt also gives us air times in the episode that can be translated to UTC because they give us the timezone, they also link to tvrage and give the tvrage ID.

Overall the development experience is MUCH better, although its a little delayed in updating from thetvdb.
