I’m trying to let NzbDrone pick the original releasename for my files (NOT the NZB name)
If i selected {Original Title} in Episode naming it seems to pick NZB.name (2 and 3) instead of releasename (1,4 or 5)
I also have checked Download Propers but when you use static episode naming you’ll never could tell if it is a proper or repack or not since it doesn’t append proper or repack to the release.
Any ideas or suggestions or is it something misconfgured in NzbDrone?

- Game.of.Thrones.S04E06.The.Laws.Of.Gods.And.Men.HDTV.x264.REPACK.KILLERS SDTV Yesterday
- Game.of.Thrones.S04E06.HDTV.x264-killers
It uses the filename when importing, not the nzb/release name.
{Series.Title}.S{season:00}E{episode:00}.{Quality}-{Release.Group} would probably get you as close to the release name as you can get right now.
We’ll have to see how we want to handle the Original Title though.
For original title I would suggest to use the NZB releasename, that is mostly as close as possible to the scene naming.
Using filenames is terrible since you can get the most exotic names that not even come close to any scene naming scheme.
Regarding proper/repack, I would suggest to always append -proper or -repack to the end of any naming scheme used in NZBDrone. When using original and a repack is download, add -repack to the end.
Same when you use renaming, first rename process and append -proper at the end.
Shouldn’t be that hard I think?

This doesn’t work if the release contains multiple files (most common with season packs), so its not as easy as making a one line change. It also doesn’t work if the release isn’t in a folder.

Why? If I choose a naming convention I don’t want a program just adding on what ever it wants to the end of it.

Based on what? Its almost never as easy as you think and there are always edge cases that need to be accounted for, but if you have a solution we accept pull requests.
I wasn’t aware of the multiple episode releases.
I also know there is more work then just adding 1 line of code but i ment something else with “easy”, sorry.
I noticed a item for this on Trello so i’ts been taken care of
Thanks so far.
