Description of issue:

I have used Sonarr with Plex on my QNAP for many years, and have used Organise/Rename to apply naming structures to existing shows.

Today, I looked at a series in Sonarr and the individual entries relative path reference items from other shows… - Sonarr #1 - Series view.jpg

When I look at the media folder either via QNAP Filestation or Windows Explorer, I can see the twelve original series episodes.

The episode history tab shows other series entries noted as renames. If I look into those series folders, the referenced entry is missing.

Interestingly, plex for the original series episodes one has multiple versions linked.

How did this occur?
Haw can it be undone - ie files returned to their series?

Your series is pointed at a Root Folder instead of the folder that contains just that series.

There isn’t an automated fix for this, you’ll need to fix your folder paths and use the history in Sonarr to undo the changes.

I have updated the path to /share/Media03-01/Shows/Current/Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads/ as suggested, using I’ll move the files myself option. Sonarr now shows all 12 episodes as the original files in the folder.

I found a new folder named Season 01 under the base path, which contained various files affected by the situation.

Using the episode history, I was able to rename the erroneous episodes and move them back to their correct folders.
