This show isn’t showing a manual download options, and it is not being picked up automatically either. Is there any way we can associate names/strings to a certain show so that it can get picked up?
Not showing because its an unknown series (Sonarr can’t figure out what it is).
Sonarr uses thexem.de for alternate names for anime.
So there’s no way to download the episodes using sonarr?
It would be a nice feature to have a local mappings option where the user can map shows locally in sonarr. Just in case thexem.de is missing something.
Thats not something we’re interested in adding, using our own mapping service (Scene Naming (TVDB Naming Conflicts)) and thexem.de means its fixed once for everyone and it lets us sanity check what they are trying to add, there is a lot of stuff that just doesn’t belong there, but people want to add it anyways.
That’s good to know. I’m going to add it but I’m not sure what the Scene Name is going to be in this case. Is it “Nanatsu no Taizai - The Seven Deadly Sins”, “Nanatsu no Taizai”, or “The Seven Deadly Sins”?

The original title is: The Seven Deadly Sins and Nanatsu no Taizai is already an alias on thexem.
You said that sonarr uses thexem.de to perform some kind of mapping. If that’s the case, shouldn’t it pick up the anime from thexem.de?
What would it pick up exactly? It does use alternate names, but this one isn’t listed there…
I’ve sent my request to the scene exception form but it look to me like it should be an easy grab. I’m confused as to why sonarr is unable to pick it up.
Format: “alternativename - scenename” or vice versa.
Even if it can’t recognize it as a show, the inability to download it via the application is even more confusing to me as a user. I know it’s possible it might not be the right show, but isn’t that why there’s a red exclamation marks next to the release? To alert the user that it might not be one the right one?
Anime uses thexem.de, not the naming form, it needs to be added on thexem.de
It can’t download it because it needs to know the series to link it in history and every other place along the pipeline.
Yes, there is one, I can see it in your screenshot, which likely says Unknown series.
