I use Emby to handle all of my metadata. However, when Sonarr adds a show or if I do a file rename on an existing folder of tv shows it will download nfo and jpg files. I don’t want these files downloaded I already use Emby for metadata
Those files are the metadata files. Metadata in Sonarr is disabled by default, you can turn them back off in Settings: Metadata.
After further research the files are being created by Emby. The funny thing is I started using Emby 6 months ago at the time I just pointed it to my tv shows share out on my server. It never created any nfo or jpg files now keep in mind I still had all of my meta data when watching through Emby. Now that I’m renaming shows I am basically thinking about moving over to plex. It is regenerating metadata in the for of nfo and jpg.
