I use for the moment Newznab sites http://nzbid.org/ (open and no registration needed), https://www.smackdownonyou.com/ (costs money) and http://www.nzb7.com/.
From classic search engines my favourite are http://nzbindex.nl/ and http://nzbfriends.com/ or http://findnzb.net/.
As provider I’m on XL-Ned, after all DMCA problems netherland providers are more loyal.
I am using Block Accounts with TheCubenet and Newsgroup Direct (had a sale 500gb block for $20 couldn’t pass that up)
for Sites i mostly just have them set in nzbdrone so don’t visit the sites too much however i have

I’m using Astraweb & NewsDemon as my providers, they do the job well
For indexing sites I’m using https://hdnzb.com/ and NZBx! Between these two I seem to get all the releases I need.

hey i have registered my name but as you say if nzbid.org requires no registration how do you get access to the api to add to nzbdrone or do you use this site for searching manually on the site? because if it allows public api access or even if it has no limit or a high limit on daily api hits it could be added to nzbdrone
For nzbdrone connect you need to register there, that’s right, cause in your admin you will see there API key.
My usenet provider is Astraweb, altough I’m not all that fond of them anymore… There’s a lot of incompletes due to DMCA’s so I need to look for another one (might try XL-ned as suggested by nzbfriend, thanx ;-))
As for the newznab provider I use my own install of Spotweb (webbased Spotnet application).

Does anyone know how long it takes for Astraweb to send you login and server details? I finally took the plunge and signed up but I assumed that they would send me the details instantly. No luck so far. 
I thought it was something you set up when registering, at least thats how I remember it being.

I used the affiliate link. I sent them an email but it has been over 2 hours and I have not heard back from them. I also did not get any signup form. I just clicked on the paypal link, paid and then got a conformation email for payment with no server or login details.
I’ll start worrying by tomorrow if I don’t hear back from them.
