New series alert & notes

If you’re like me, and you have lots of shows in the playlist, it is often hard to see at a glance what is returning and what is in between seasons. Is it possible somehow to have some form of alert ie popup, or maybe a box around each show that makes it stand out that is about to resume a new sesaon or something (say within 7 days or such), just so it makes it easier to see? I personally had not noticed that one show had started back, and I have got about 11 episodes to catch up with, and this has happened more than 7 times in recent months. I know the day feature is there, and it shows you the next time a show will be aired but this is often missed if you’re scrolling through quite a lot of them.

Also, is it possible to perhaps add a “note” feature, for each series? I often have to jot down notes to what I have seen, or if I am half way through a show but have to stop, to jot down the time of the show that I have stopped at, however if there was a note feature on this, it might make it easier, especially if you can see the last note left, displayed either next to the name of the show (huge white space between name and the spanner icon) or between the cut off quality and the number of episodes at the bottom, or even below that date season cut off part, theres more white space that could be used for that.

Obviously none of those are important, but I do think those features could be useful, although I have no idea if they are easy enough to implement or not, but I do not think that it would be a huge task to add in a couple of lines of code, well, for the note section. The first part I am hoping it is easy enough to do.

I know there is the calendar that has a lighter colour for new shows however because of colourblindness, I do not frequent this page as much, but I still think it would be better if something was on the main page too, just to make it easier for folk to see

Have you tried Settings > UI > Enable Color-Impaired mode? That will help with the calendar colors…

I do have that on yes, however when I look at that screen, even with it on, Downloading and Unaired look very similar but On air and downloaded look even more alike. I realize there is some stripes in there, but they are too subtle.

But it’s not a big deal to that degree, however it would be helpful if the new series was on the series page too

You can sort by next airing so you don’t need to track the series title and the next airing as you’re scrolling through.

I don’t see use adding much there in terms of highlighting when things are about to begin airing again, during times when a lot of things are returning to air Ic an’t see that being particularly effective.

We don’t have plans to add a notes feature. We have talked about syncing watched status from Plex or Kodi (or Trakt as a central location), not it’s not something we’re actively working on.
