New in version 2.0.0.4323 "MediaInfo VideoBitDepth and AudioChannels" What is this actually for?

Sonarr version: 2.0.0.4323
Mono version: 2.0.0.4326
uBuntu Server 16.04 LTS with Gnome Core

Hi, a few months back I posted a feature request for color bit depth to be labeled when renaming files, now I see that something similar was in the last build, “MediaInfo VideoBitDepth and AudioChannels”.

I’ve tried renaming all my files and looked at the renaming patterns again but can’t find anything different. Just curious what this “new feature” actually does?

Thank you!

The tokens aren’t currently exposed in the UI, but they are {MediaInfo VideoBitDepth} and {MediaInfo AudioChannels}, as long as Sonarr has reprocessed the files (which it would do every 12 hours) you’ll be able to use them in your filenames.

That’s really cool, I extrapolated that I can also use{MediaInfo VideoCodec} and AudioCodec but is there any documentation about anything else you can put? It always bugged me that if it has 1080p in the file name, it will just accept it as absolute truth even if it was actually 720p. Cause it should be able to get that info from MediaInfo as well

Currently they aren’t documented outside of the code, but planning to make them more discoverable.

That’s something we’ve had filed to do for a while, but it’s a fairly large undertaking to change how the parsing is done.
