Need to write to a network drive, not read from same

We can add remote mappings for network drives to pull completed items but what we also need is the ability to WRITE to a network drive for the library, ie: have Sonarr recognize network drives, especially mapped drives for where to put the completed files.

I am currently pulling down items and having Sonarr write them to a local drive that is a Dropbox folder, then having another system look for those items and move them to the correct path (I don’t want the whole library stored on the machine doing the work of finding and downloading the content).

I would much rather have Sonarr support a mapped network drive, especially one mapped by Expandrive, so it can write the completed files to the library stored on another system.

Any chance this can happen?

Thank you!

Sonarr already can, if you’re running Sonarr under Windows, read the ((FAQ)) as there are some limitations (from Microsoft), if you’re using another OS, just mount the drive locally and as long as permissions allow Sonarr can access it.

You’ll just need to point Sonarr at the series folders on the network drive.

Not an unc path so not possible to use that solution.

I am trying to get to a mapped drive mapped via Expandrive to get to my onedrive / dropbox folders.

Browsing into the mapped drives fails. Pasting the correct path works from the standpoint that Sonarr accepts it but it will not read from or write into it.

Expandrive allows me to view and manipulate my onedrive / googledrive / dropbox folders and files using normal Windows explorer, etc, but Sonarr is not able to see those mapped drives correctly.

If needed I can provide some screenshots and can do a screenshare session with you if you want to take a closer look.

Thank you

If you’re running a windows service you’ll need a UNC path, but you can run Sonarr via the start up folder and use a mapped network drive. I’m not familiar with how Expandrive works, but if it’s anything like a mapped network drive to a UNC path that should work.
