I have added MotoGP to my series list but but it cannot find any episodes. Would prefer to pull this via usenet, not torrenting. Has anybody found a way to do this (not even sure why the episodes don’t show up, they must be out there)
Likely this is going to require manual everything. The release format does not follow any usable naming convention, so Sonarr is highly unlikely to ever find it via search.
Eg. TDVB has it by season YYYY and episode E### but all the releases seem to just be year and the event name.
So you’ll likely need to manually add from indexer and download, and then manually import.
Not what I wanted to hear. How would one go about fixing this? I’m a noob.
You were told already to do it manually.
Defeats the purpose of running Sonarr.
Unless they make sonarr able to read from that format you are left with manually doing it.
I have an iptv subscription that has 40k tv series on demand I would love to be able to download from an m3u playlist I would just download off it 24/7. Maybe they could make a paid version I would pay $5 a month for being able to download from an m3u Not quite sure why sonarr is free anyway it’s the best pvr on the planet and the developers should be getting $5 a month imo.
You can try to change type from standard to daily but that most likely won’t work either given multiple events occur on the same date.
There’s no way to fully automate it that I’m aware of but you can make it a little easier on yourself by using your indexer to create a custom RSS feed for say “MotoGP 1080p” for example (probably with some additional criteria like minimum file size, max age, etc.) Load that RSS feed into your Usenet client and set it to auto download and to set the category as the same category you use for sonarr.
When it does grab them, these will most likely show up on the sonarr queue as yellow. Then click the import button and match.
Alternatively have your Usenet client not tag them to sonarr, but put them in a separate directory. Then in sonarr go to wanted/manual import and point to that directory and click manual import. The benefit here is you can import each day in one batch vs one by one. The downside is you won’t get an indication from sonarr that they are waiting for import.
Or combine the 2. Tag to sonarr and put in custom folder. Manual import in one batch then clear from queue.
Still manual effort but slighty less work.
This pretty much applies for most sports. The scene doesn’t tag them as S#E#
