I’ve been running Drone on my Mac and have noticed my CPU fan kick in and out around every 30 seconds. The Mac is close by and the constant rise and fall of the CPU fan is bothersome. When the fan kicks in I’ve noticed that mono-sgen hits 100% CPU usage. I’m running the latest version of Drone and mono 3.4. Would I be better off moving Drone to a Windows 8.1 virtual machine?
Which version of mono?
Which version of drone?
While drone does use multiple threads, it doesn’t do anything very CPU intensive every 30 seconds, if you enable trace logging it will show what drone is doing when the CPU spikes.
I run mine on server 2012 and haven’t noticed spikes like this, except when processing RSS feeds every 15 minutes.
Drone 2.0.0.1690. Mono is 3.4. I think I’m going to move Drone to a virtual machine on my Windows server unless you want me to help troubleshoot it for others.
Go for it, if others are having issues we can deal with it then.
I’m having this same problem. mono-sgen hovers around 100% CPU usage pretty constantly. I just removed all my settings and started Sonarr fresh, and it still occurs.
I’m using Mono 4.0.0
Sonarr 2.0.0.3004
Yosemite 10.10.3
