how often does nzbdrone check for missing episodes i just added a show which i had some but not all episodes for it added the ones i had and marked the ones i didn’t but had aired as missing with the red highlight and red square
i cannot remember if i just left it how long until it see’s those episodes as missing and searches for them i know i could manually force a search but just curious if left untouched ??
Depends if you have backlog searching enabled. If you don’t it shouldn’t fill in any, if you do, then it should search for episodes that aired within the last week every 24 hours and anything older once a month.
i do not have backlog searching enable because last time it queued up every missing episode for every show and some shows i don’t have the earlier seasons as i do not need them
i would like to perform a 30 day backlog check but i know i need backlog searching enabled however i was think would a way to get around it not looking for everything when it performs a full check if i set the start date for all the shows in series editor to 1 month back would that stop the backlog searching from looking any further back or will it still continue to to a complete scan of all missing episodes
Backlog doesn’t respect the custom start date when it performs the searches. The episodes wouldn’t be downloaded, but its going to be very API expensive on your indexers.
Best to do it manually.
Is it possible to change this or make a task for it in task scheduler(synology)? I really want it to check for all missing episodes regularly and not once a month.
@Patrick1610 you could (you would need a script to hit the API), but I’d recommend against it, as long as the syno stays online drone will look for any newly posted files (new or old). Searching will hit the indexers once for each episode, which is fine the first time, but if you do it again a week or 2 later and nothing was reposted its a waste of time and resources.
drone doesn’t search for missing (except newly posted) at all for the reason mentioned above.
