Mapping the NAS

Hi all

First time poster. I had a working setup on an old laptop and has Sonarr working on my laptop with the files downloading to folders on my NAS. So obviously I had mapping to my laptop and my NAS. Reinstalled it all on a new laptop and can’t now get the NAS recognized by Sonarr.

I can’t find anything on how to map this having checked the FAQ and all. Most of the answers are referring to the sofrware running on the NAS. Hope someone can help. I remember when i set this up before i almost did this by accident and wasn’t quite sure how it mapped so I’ve probably got no hope now unless you guys help me!

Cheers
Chris

Sonarr is running on Windows?
Is your download client running on Windows or the NAS?

You’ll need to access the share using \\ip_of_nas\share

If your download client is running on the NAS, setup a remote path mapping in Sonarr to remap the paths that it reports to something Sonarr can use.

Where do i find that setting?

Goto: Settings -> Tick Advanced Settings to “shown” ->

Example:
Remote Path: ? (\NAS ip\shared videos\usenet\tv)
Local Path: ? (N:\Shared videos\usenet\tv)

Sorry for stealing this thread
Is that the download path or the shared path.
You see I got a synology nas with all my media and my download path, but i got sonarr on a intel nuc. Some files sonar move to my synology but not all. is this setting many a solution for my problem?

It should be the same path if I’m correct. Why run it on 2 different systems (is it due to lack of power of your NAS?)

Hello
Yes my Synology Nas getting tired and I have as a file server , and to download.
The same path as what?
