Manual Import wrong episode numbers

Hi,
please take a look at this screenshot from manual import…

has anyone an idea why sonarr would suggest S02E10 for a file that is clearly numbered S02E07? (even the name in the file matches the correct episode name)

what other info could I provide?

Because there’s a mismatch between scene numbering and thetvdb…
Sonarr uses thexem.de to remap episodes: http://thexem.de/xem/show/3363

It considers the files in your manual import folder to be “scene”.

okay makes sense now… but I downloaded them in tvdb order… There is no way to override it for the import is there? Except to manually click every entry and correct the episode or renaming all the files right?

Moving them into the series folder manually would probably be the easiest then.

  • move the files into the correct series/season folders
  • click the “update series info and scan disk” button, either from the series list or individual series detail page in sonarr
  • sonarr should now be aware of the files
  • if required: from the series detail page, click the “preview rename for all episodes” button to rename the files (by rename I mean follow the naming scheme from settings > media management, not change the episode numbering)
