Keep cutoff unmet episodes until they are manually removed

Is there any way to keep the ‘cutoff unmet’ episodes until they are manually removed. Apparently when the folder is removed for offline storage, the cutoffs episodes listed for that folder are auto-removed.

There’s no relation between cutoff unmet and offline files… if sonarr can’t see the files during the next disk scan, it flags them as missing.

I’m aware of that which is why I want to know if there is any way to keep them until manually removed.

what do you mean by “manually” removed in the context of sonarr?

as far as im aware sonarr only has an option to un-monitor files it notices have been deleted (so it doesnt download them again). for sonarr a file either exists or it doesnt.

you appear to want sonarr to keep a ghost file listed and monitored so it can download a better quality if one comes along?

perhaps you could not archive folders if youre still waiting for better quality versions? or only archive the files that are the quality you want, and leave the lower quality files in place for sonarr to upgrade, should it ever find an upgrade.

Don’t check the option to unmotitor removed files then? :smirk:

@rhom
No, I don’t ever allow sonarr to auto-upgrade unless I choose it manually, I just want them to stay listed in the cutoff unmet category so that I can later manually search for that “better/proper/preferred” quality since the folder(s) will already be in offline storage.

I move the completed season folders from online drive one to online drive two. I use two separate online storage raid1-drives, 1st one for sonarr downloads and a separate 2nd one for the completed folders so when that 2nd storage is full, I then copy them all to a separate offline storage and I empty the 2nd online storage to start all over again.

@Thirrian
Yes, I’m aware of that as well, however that will also continue to monitor everything else.

Apparently it is all or nothing, I was hoping for a way to only keep the cutoff unmet listed indefinitely until I manually remove them.

I will use an automated script to export/copy the list on a daily or weekly schedule.
