Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.5228 Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): 5.14.0.177 OS: Ubuntu Linux Server 18.04 Debug logs: Description of issue: Downloading Magnum PI Reboots sometimes downloads episodes of the original 1980s TV show
It appears that most people posting Magnum PI on Usenet are posting the new show as Magnum PI 2008 to differentiate it from the original show. I know that TVdb lists the old show as Magnum, P.I. while the new show is listed as Magnum P.I. (note the comma), but posters are not honoring that naming convention. It would be good to add 2018 to the search parameters for the show to make sure the proper version is grabbed.
Could also be that your indexer allows renaming of files,
do you got a example of the filename ?
and which profile quality you’re using.
Some groups really do make a big mess of the file naming(AVS/SVA but also known for there low quality).
I checked the releases i could find and they all matched correctly.
The official naming should be one of the following
(info gotten from a tracker that doesn’t allow renaming of the file)
I have the quality set to HD 720p/1080p. I loaded the show and dd an automatic search for Season 1 Episode 4. When I went to play the episode, I was greeted by Tom Selleck’s face.
So, just to test this further I went back into Magnum PI, went to episode 3, and clicked on the magnifying glass to let it auto-download Episode 3. My wife just went to watch it, and once again we are greeted to a 4:3 aspect ratio episode with Tom Selleck’s face staring at us.
It looks like Sonarr is always going for the release with Bluray in the filename, which is the old 80s show.
And it just downloaded Episode 05 of the old 80s show, instead of the new one that aired tonight.
WEB-DL for the 2018 series are using Magnum.P.I. for the release name, which conflicts with some releases in the original series, some of them may work, but others will fail depending on how they are named. As of now Sonarr shouldn’t grab an releases for the old series by mistake, but there may be poorly named releases for the new series that Sonarr can’t grab.
