Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.4374 Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): OS: Windows 10 Pro ((Debug logs)): Description of issue: I am using a combination of Sonarr, Deluge, Seedbox, BT Sync and Plex. Once the file is finished in the Seedbox, due to low storage I bring it down using BT Sync and seed (manually) using Deluge. I have even tried downloading the file outside of BT Sync and added to Deluge but the files still get deleted.
I’ve been having problems the past week or so as some files in Deluge show up as Error. For example Gotham S03E07 Web-DL has priority over S03E07 HDTV, so once the Web-DL version downloads, the HDTV version shows as Error (Missing or invalid torrent data). I can’t even find where those files would have gone to or why they would’ve been deleted in the first place. Surely they would be left to seed? I do label them with the same label Sonarr uses if that’s knocking it. Any help? If you need any info let me know and I’ll put them up when possible.
How is Sonarr importing the files? Are you using a proper Deluge connection in Sonarr? Are you using Torrent Blackhole or Drone Factory?
((Debug logs)) in Sonarr should show if anything is deleted. With seeding torrents Sonarr will only copy or hardlink. If the torrent is finished seeding Sonarr tells the download client to remove it (so it wouldn’t still be in Deluge). Drone Factory will move files always and Torrent Blackhole has an option for read-only (enabled by default I believe).
In the Download Client section of Sonarr, I have Deluge and Seedbox configured, along with a Remote Path Mapping, however I have Deluge disabled so all files go to the Seedbox. I have Completed Download Handling Remove set to off also so shouldn’t this prevent the file from being moved? I have Drone Factory setup but only for the rar files ruTorrent has unpacked so when it is downloaded by BT Sync it will be automatically sorted.
Take for example the Gotham Episodes mentioned above - if I already have those downloaded, and hard linked by Sonarr to the correct folder, and then manually download an Amazon Web Rip would that force the delete in Deluge? And where do the Deluge/Sonarr files go if they’re deleted as I can’t find them anywhere?
Does it point to the same location that Deluge is seeding from? If so that would do it. The history for the episode in question should show if it was imported a second time (as would the debug logs).
No. If Remove is off they are never deleted.
They are permanently deleted unless you setup the recycling bin path in Sonarr.
I have separate folder for the Drone so it’s not that, remove is definitely off and I do have a Recycle bin setup - the only things that have gone there are older episodes which I have upgraded. That’s why I am confused. Where should deleted files go otherwise as they don’t go in the Operating System Recycling bin either?
I just tested another file with the Amazon rip example above but used a different label and it seems to stay there now.
By the way, is there any way to tell if a file has been hardlinked without monitoring storage space? I haven’t copied anything from the seedbox today but next time I might have to do it as above to stop any problems and use a different label.
It’s started happening again, even to files that I haven’t labelled the same as Sonarr. Would it have anything to do with the Remoth Path connected to the Seedbox? Or would it be Deluge?
Sonarr will only process torrents it added or are labeled with the Sonarr label, if neither of those is true Sonarr isn’t involved. Also Sonarr would be logging, so check the logs.
For one of the files that has shown error in Deluge, I have checked the episode history and it doesn’t show anything about it being deleted (is this just looking at the completed and organised file?). In the logs for that file it shows “Import failed, path does not exist or is not accessible by Sonarr”.
What setup would you recommend instead of mine to try and solve the problem - My setup is Sonarr > Seedbox > BT Sync to download file locally > Delete file from Seedbox > Locally Force Check file (Puts in a paused state) and manually seed with Deluge.
I’ll test without deleting the file from the Seedbox. Would that narrow it down to the paused state/remote path step? Does Deluge need to stay on in the Download Client?
If you’re BTsyncing things down and adding to deluge you could probably get rid of the remote path mapping and have Sonarr import from deluge or get rid of deluge from Sonarr so its not seeing the same download in two different places.
I used to do that before with the Remote Path but files were always stuck in the Sonarr queue. So to do this, keep the same Sonarr label and it should work as normal?
At the moment I have Deluge disabled so should it still interfere?
Downloads would need to be remove from the seedbox download client or they’d stick in the queue.
If it’s disabled in Sonarr it won’t be used by Sonarr at all.
You really should check the ((debug logs)) to see what Sonarr is doing, it will log when importing things, removing things from the download client, etc.
I have just found out that when I delete the files from my Seedbox it deletes locally as well - not sure where the exact problem lies. I have BT Sync to match the same folder structure from the Seedbox (with “sonarr” label) and SSHFS Manager to mount the drive. I used to seed the torrent locally before removing from the seedbox which showed seeding worked and then the error next time I checked. I thought the files had copied from the seedbox originally, not actually linking.
