Is it possible to have 2 versions of the same show?

I watch Westworld directly from my Pi via HDMI in the highest quality, but my parents want to watch it on their Chromecast via Plex. For some reason Plex fails to transcode such a heavy file.

Is it possible to have sonarr download both 1080p and a SD version?

No, Sonarr will only keep one version of an episode.

You could try a few things:

Media Optimizer https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/214079318-Media-Optimizer-Overview
Try having your parents stream in original quality (if your upload and their download is fast enough)
Make sure your server can keep up for transcoding: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200250377-Transcoding-Media
Have a script store the lower quality file where Plex can see it, but where Sonarr can’t so it won’t replace it
