After a previous update my naming format be came invalid because it contains square brackets. I have been keeping an eye on the ticket you created for the issue, https://github.com/Sonarr/Sonarr/issues/501, and it now shows as completed.
When I check the episode naming tab my single and Multi episode naming formats are still showing as invalid using {Series Title} [{season}x{episode:00}] {Episode Title}.
Sonarr seems to be precisely what I’m looking for, except that my entire library (and it’s a gigantic one!) uses the following naming convention for Episode Filenames
And unless there’s a very good reason to do so, I am loathe to rename and rebuild my entire library.
Is there a good reason?
So far I’m using AutoTorrent for automated downloads, Sublight for subtitling, theRenamer to rename and move, and Media Companion to pre-scrape for my Kodi (Isengard RC2) library, which is shared using MySQL
I was using TVTrigger until it became pretty much defunct, then switched to AutoTorrent.
I was very excited to find Sonarr, because it’s clearly better than AutoTorrent, which needs a lot of manual entry to set up a show monitor correctly, and it seems to integrate AutoTorrent’s functions with theRenamer’s functions.
But so far, Sonarr has been unable to identify any of the episodes already in my library, except for the very first episode in almost every series. I’m guessing it has something to do with the naming convention.
If it doesn’t, then if you can help me solve that problem, I can still use Sonarr and continue to auto-trigger theRenamer to rename and move the files the way I like them. Or FileBot, perhaps.
