Indexing restriction problem

I’m trying to limit most all of my downloads to ETTV, EZTV, rarbg. Creating one restriction that includes these as “must contain” and leaving the key word portion blank works very well, forcing all my material to have one of these.

That being said, not all series that I need are released by these groups, so I made one index restriction that includes those tags, using key words that include names of the shows I watch that get released via ETTV, EZTV, rarbg. I then made another index that has a “must contain” for another group that releases some of the other shows, and I put those show titles in the key words portion of that index. Thus, I have two restrictions, one meant for finding shows through ETTV, EZTV, rarbg, and another restriction that finds entirely different shows through other groups.

However, since using both indexes, my original restriction that was working perfectly is no longer restricting. Despite my key words requiring a show like “suits” to have ETTV, EZTV, rarbg in the title, it will download anything it finds, limiting only by size restriction.

Any idea what’s going on? Why does creating two restrictions essentially nullify them entirely?

Please post a screenshot of the release restrictions you set, a screenshot of the tags assigned to Suits and hastebin debug logs of a manual search thats not rejecting results for a Suits episode.

I used Hannibal as an example in this one, since the same thing happens with all my series. I’ve attached screens for the manual search results and the index restrictions. As you can see, the rejections in the manual search results are due to size or lack of seeders, none are due to the missing restriction terms. Below is the log file entry for the search. That’s all that’s showing up (note that I only searched and did not download). Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks for the help.

Your screenshot highlights the one that would pass, assuming the Hanibal tag has been assigned to the Hanibal series?

That’s correct. However, the reason it would pass is because I managed to use size restrictions to exclude most other releases. Thus, I can usually get the ETTV/EZTV downloads to catch based on size, but I want it to find them based on the tag (which, obviously, makes more sense and is much easier to control).

That being said, what do you mean by “assuming the Hannibal tag has been assigned to the series”? I figured the restrictions would base itself off the series name. Is there a need to add specific tags to the series, as well?

For example, with the following episode (Hannibal S02E03), the green boxed item is the release that I would want. Good.

However, the red box item should not be an available snatch, since it doesn’t have my index restriction in the title. By lifting the size limit, it picked up the release that it shouldn’t have (i.e. the restriction doesn’t appear to be working).

Yes, that’s the only way they apply. Add the appropriate tags and you should be all set.

Well, that makes sense. Can’t believe I overlooked that. I’ll put the tags on and see where that leaves me. Thanks!
