Description of issue:

System was stable for a month, using
rarbg, eztv and showrss, all good

updated to latest version of mono over weekend

last night got the error

Unable to connect to indexer, check the log for more details and no indexer can connect

have tried lower versions of mono and sonarr still same errors

Can you offer some assistance

Every thing else is fine on DS218

If i type in raw https of indexer it can get to the site

regards

thats always a risky move

have you tried removing the indexer and adding it back in?
do you have other indexers that are working ok? (ie is it just that indexer or all of them)
is that the url that is set in your indexer?
that url tests ok when i add it as an rss torrent based indexer

Also having an issue (DS218play) after updating mono to 5.20.1.34-15.
Unable to connect to indexer NZBGeek (with valid API) (see log entry below)

Have tried readding the indexer. Restarted Sonarr, and rebooted the NAS.

Can you try downgrading using the following method? https://github.com/SynoCommunity/spksrc/issues/3946#issuecomment-612562594 (see bottom half of the comment)

Thx ilike2burnthing

So what versions sonarr would you recommend running with on the synology

I assume this bit
downgraded to 5.8.0.108-11 [6.1 rtd1296]

wget https://packages.synocommunity.com/mono/11/mono.v11.f15047[rtd1296].spk
rm -rf /volume1/\@appstore/mono /var/packages/mono
synopkg install mono.v11.f15047\[rtd1296\].spk

Feel free to try later versions, but I know (third-hand) that that one worked 5 days ago - https://github.com/Jackett/Jackett/issues/9701

I’m running an Asustor, so can’t test unfortunately.

I reinstalled dsm no change
installed MONO : 5.8.0.108-11 with any version of Sonarr
and all indexers working again
NEVER EVER updating MONO

i’d suggest using docker to get around this sort of thing but i dont think the 218 has the right cpu for it (may depend on which model you have)

Thanks @pcmcs Downgrading Mono 5.8.0.108-11 worked for me too.
It is strange. I thought using package manager would be safest option for updating. Really surprising.

Fixed now, but problem is how do we know if a package is safe to update going forward???

Mono 5.8 is quite ancient and you may run into issues with sonarr, I think the oldest safe version is 5.12 but ymmv.

Yep, I have the 218Play, and that doesn’t support Docker.

Downgrading Mono worked for me.

as far as im aware mono is a separate package from sonarr so only upgrade sonarr, not mono.
