I just added successfully SSL support to my personnal sonarr instance.
Following the documentation was not enough for me because the documentation did not inform that the httpcfg command must be run under the same user than the user running mono.
I just added the comment markus101 gived on the forum

“make sure its run by the user that will be running mono.”
