Description of issue : Importing otherwise downloaded episodes

Hi, is there a way to have sonarr import files that I have downloaded with some other client?
For example I have a very old show that sonarr has trouble finding episodes. But I was able to download the whole season outside of the sonarr infrastructure but would love sonarr to do it’s job of remaining and sorting into my root folder.
I used sickrage before and it would eventually pick up episodes that I placed into the common download folder. But I haven’t found any way to get this going with sonarr - is it possible and if so, how do a nudge to get this scan started.
Thanks, Merlin

Manual Import from Wanted: Missing is the best way for one off things, if you want to automate it, you could set up a torrent/usenet blackhole to import from or use a script to tell Sonarr to run the command DownloadedEpisodesScan.

Perfect Markus - thank you!
Speaking of the API - I found that there is a python module that implements access to the sonar API. Do you know of any examples on using that so that I don’t have to dig too deep into any documentation?
Cheers,
Merlin

I am not familiar with that.
