How to fix "Unable to identify correct episode(s) using release name and scene mappings"

Sonarr version (exact version): 4.0.14.2939-ls283 by linuxserver.io
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): Yes (6.0.13)
OS: Docker

Description of issue:

Please note that I have the issue only for this anime, others shows work well

  • I click on “Interactive Search”
  • I select a filter to find the episode 1121 from a specific group
  • One match is found:
    One Piece S01E1121 VOSTFR 1080p WEB x264 AAC -Tsundere-Raws (CR)
  • but the column (!) has this message:
Unable to identify correct episode(s) using release name and scene mappings

Here are the logs:

It seems that it is an issue with the season number.
As this group treats the anime as a unique season S01 instead of S22.

How can I do to force the matching ?

I am astonished that it cannot be forced while downloading a specific episode.
I select a download for a specific episode so the matching should be automatic.

Then, when the download is completed, I need to manually:

  • Copy/Paste the episode from the download path to the anime path
  • Refresh to rescan the folder
  • Import this specific episode by selected the Season, Episode number, etc…
  • Do a rename

How can I automate those tasks ?

On a side note, I do not get on what is based the “Automatic Research” and if we can automatically apply a “filter” or a “release profile”

Use Manual Import from Activity or Wanted

So no automatic import solution ?

I am condemn to manually download and manually match each new or old episode ?

Using Manual Import, while not completely automatic, is a lot faster than the steps you originally outlined. No need to manually copy/move etc. anything. Manual Import will process it straight into the correct folder while renaming etc.

Since this release is not just using absolute numbering for some reason, if you want to try and get it working automatically then you’ll probably need to start at XEM and then perhaps check/request a mapping.
