Sonarr version (exact version): 3.0.0.348 Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): 5.10.1.57 OS: Freenas Jail Debug logs: https://hastebin.com/evuquluhan.rb Description of issue:
I downloaded this batch torrent recently. https://nyaa.si/view/1194317, but sonarr is unable to parse and recognize the files. I’ve tried renaming the folder (latest attempt was [DmonHiro] Mob Psycho 100 - Season 2 (01-13) (Batch)), but it still does not correctly parse the torrent. What can I do here?
The show is Mob Psycho 100, but the parser sees the 100 and assumes it is episode 100
It’s probably the brackets, but you should update Sonarr, you’re running a version from over a year ago… You can use manual import to override things though.
I upgraded sonarr and renamed the folder and now have a different problem. My anime folders typically have the folder containing the show name and each episode just has episode number. Can the importer handle this?
I suspect it’s in a format Sonarr doesn’t support; in the series folder search file either needs to have the TVDB’s absolute episode number or it needs have the season + episode number in it.
Can you give a concrete example of exactly how different “seasons” in the same TVDB anime series are organized?
sure,
To be clear the problem is about the problem importing typical anime batch torrents. Not how I organize my files (I let sonarr organize it the way it wants)
here’s an example.
In this case, sonarr does not even recognize the show. If I rename the folder to Mob Psycho 100 - S01. It recognises the folder but when parsing the file I see this.
It wasn’t clear based on “my anime”, but regardless, these files are named horribly for Sonarr to be able to parse, especially given the title, since both the 100 and the 001 are ambiguous numbers.
This file name is actually fine with a series that doesn’t have 100 in it, which is why you see things get weird when you add S01 to the folder name.
