Still getting used to Sonarr after switching from SickBeard. For my TV shows, I prefer to have them in either SDTV definition, or HDTV, primarily for the fact that I won’t re-watch TV shows as I will with movies.
There is no option for “HDTV” to set in the profiles, only for SDTV, or WEBDL-480p, when I search and it skips over an HDTV release which is perfectly acceptable, how can I modify the profile to grab these NZB’s?
Example: “Girls S04E06 HDTV x264-KILLERS” and not “Girls S04E06 720p HDTV x264-KILLERS”
thanks
HDTV as the scene tags them are actually SDTV. THey just mean the source was HDTV but the resolution isn’t
I agree with your explanation, however, the question remains, why am I unable to grab them with the SDTV designation, should there not be a quality definition for “HDTV” to select from?
If you use the SD profile and only select SDTV, it will get exactly the ones you want
ok…to close this discussion out. Selecting “SDTV” in Qualities will pull NZB’s listed as SDTV, as well as those listed as HDTV…correct?
OK…i’m all set. Thanks for the info
One last thing,
If you were using SickBeard before and you were using the quality “HD TV”, that was actually grabbing 720p HDTV releases. If you were selecting “SD TV” and “HD TV” in the Initial section, it would grab whichever one came out 1st and 9 times out of 10 it is the “SD TV”. If you had “HD TV” in the archive section, it would then replace the “SD TV” with “HD TV”.
Like i said before, your confusion comes from the way the scene names the releases. Here is how the qualities on SicBeard and Sonarr differ:
SickBeard
SD TV grabs Girls S04E06 HDTV x264-KILLERS
HD TV grabs Girls S04E06 720p HDTV x264-KILLERS
Sonarr
SDTV grabs Girls S04E06 HDTV x264-KILLERS
HDTV-720p grabs Girls S04E06 720p HDTV x264-KILLERS
For the scene to be consistent, they should name releases this way:
Girls S04E06 480p HDTV x264-KILLERS
Girls S04E06 540p HDTV x264-KILLERS
Girls S04E06 720p HDTV x264-KILLERS
Girls S04E06 1080p HDTV x264-KILLERS
That way it is clear what you get and don’t have to know that if there is no resolution then it means it’s SDTV
awesome…thanks for the clarification.
