Help adding ruTorrent as download client please?

Hi,

Due to problems with transmission I have installed rtTorrent using this guide

ruTorrent is running fine on my server but I cannot get Sonarr to connect?

I am always getting Unknown exception: Error: ConnectFailure (Connection refused)

Can anyone help please? maybe my port number is wrong (default in Sonarr is 8081) I do not know how to find out for sure as the web address is .../rutorrent there is no :port number

Many thanks

I’m having issues too

I’m trying to set up a new server with sonarr.

I have used Sonarr on another host before and had no problem setting it up, it worked basicly on the first try, but this time I’m having issues and I can’t seem to find the error.

If I try to add the information into client i get the following error:

Unknown exception: Error getting response stream (ReadDone2): ReceiveFailure

Personally i’m not sure if I use the right port number for rutorrent, can someone maybe guide me through it?

If there isn’t a port number in the URL then its either 80 or 443 depending if SSL is being used.

Without the full logs it could be any number of things, possibly unable to establish a secure connection.

Thanks Marcus,

unfortunately I am unable to access rutorrent at all unless through the local internet browser on the vps that rutorrent and Sonarr is running on and the only address it will accept is 62.***.***.***/rutorrent I have tried 62.***.***.***:80 and 62.***.***.***:443 with no luck (even locally on the VPS that rutorrent is running on)

So to be fair it would seem not to be a Sonarr issue but am completely baffled as to why I cannot connect to rutorrent unless using 62.***.***.***/rutorrent
