Hardlinks vs copy?

On ubunut 14.04 and I can’t figure out how this works (but it does, so yay!).

sonarr grabs something from TorrentLeech, I manually unrar it (just turned on autounrar, so that should be simplier now), and sonarr imports the files (use hardlinks instead of copy is set to ‘no’).

So, the way I read that, I should have a copy of the file in /torrent/downloads & in /media/video/tv/

But I don’t see it in /torrent/downloads now (even tho rtorrent is still seeding it).

I’m not complaining, but I’d like t know how it works . . . .

Its because the torrent contains RAR files, not a bare video file. If it was a bare video file it would have been copied, but because the extracted video file is not needed for seeding its not kept in the download folder.

Ok, but it seems to remove the rars & the directory too (that’s what confuses me so badly, as rtorrent is still saying its seeding).

Ahh, rtorrent, so its not using Completed Download Handling, its using the Torrent Blackhole import folder.

In that case, it may be deleting the RAR files. Not sure how rtorrent still thinks its seeding though. I’m not sure what the best setup is for rtorrent + Sonarr to avoid issues. Hopefully someone else can weigh in.

That’s fine. I realize rtorrent isn’t supported yet. Will be glad when it is.

I"m not sure it’s actually seeding, or if rtorrent just isn’t that bright. But I’ll watch the ul rates and see what happens.

Just wanted to add something I noticed today.

Anything that gets ‘removed’ by sonarr before the next announce to tracker apparently doesn’t get announced properly.

So for now, I’ve quit using rtorrent, and I’m trying to switch to deluge, but having auth issues there. Started a new thread on that.
