Description of issue:
Is it possible to turn off this useless check?
For example Stranger Things came out today, sonarr marks them for 12:00, the season pack is already uploaded, but it wasn’t grabbed, beacause: 'Full season release rejected. All episodes haven’t aired yet.'
can this be disabled?
and it seems this kind of breaks sonarr’s logic.
the new file is checked via RSS sync, it’s not accepted cos not all episodes ‘aired’ yet.
2 hours later, it’s past 12:00, they ‘aired’, but they are not in RSS sync, cos they are already uploaded hours before, so I have to manually search for it, right?

please don’t tell me this ‘feature’ is hard coded, and can’t be changed.

thanks!

It can’t be changed. It’s a completely valid check and this is the first time that I recall there being an issue, since seasons packs have typically taken hours to arrive.

It looks like the wrong air time is on TheTVDB, at least wrong to how Sonarr expects it. Sonarr knows that Netflix shows are released in PST/PDT (GMT-8/-7) which should be at 12:01am, but having it listed at 3:00 forces Sonarr to think it’s 3 hours later than it is. Bad data = bad result unfortunately.

No plans to allow turning off this check at this time, perhaps we can make it a bit more lenient though, the purpose is to filter out poorly named or fake releases, not cause issues after all.

Thank you for the detailed answear as ever.
Can you make it more lenient? possibly only check the day, and not the hour, or 12-24h treshold?

btw RSS sync still got the release at 12:09, so it didn’t miss it, but it could be an issue possibly.

and this is kind of the same issue, as minimum seeder. If i use a public tracker, these are valid checks, and are very welcome, but if i use a very trusted high quality private tracker, these checks are not helping.

this is possibly the 2nd biggest first world problem I ever seen tbh, right after making sure sonarr checks with the download client more frequently, cos most episodes download well under 1 minute
