In my settings on ND i have it set to “tv” as my TV Category however when it adds the episode to sab it does not apply that category it still says Default which normally would be fine but i have just changed where my ND Factory is set it is a subfolder within my default folder i have applied this in settings but it still doesn’t force the category and thus downloads are sent to the default location
so basically i have my default folder set to M:\DOWNLOADED TO SORT* (asterisk so that it does not keep episodes in folders)
and my new Factory is M:\DOWNLOADED TO SORT\ZBDRONE* (so i can sort episodes i want scanned into ND without it constantly scanning through the others)
Do you have a category in SAB called “tv”? If you turn on trace logging you can see the full URL that drone uses to send the nzb to SAB, it will contain &cat=tv but if SAB doesn’t have that same category it will revert to default.
Just searched on the Sab Forums a bit turns out this is a sab issue so it looks like i will just have to change my options to send all downloads to NzbDrone unless manually change after grab
My main reason for doing this was so when i was downloading things other than eps from ND it would put them in the DOWNLOADED TO SORT folder which is my default folder for stuff i have to go through and watch and decide if i want to keep whereas the NZBDRONE subfolder was for shows i know i like and for nzbdrone to grab and move
I was hoping for it to auto change categories but it does not work for some reason i will just have to do manually stuff outside ND the bulk of my usenet is ND downloads anyways so not a big issue
@protocol77 Just set the sab category in drone to “tv shows” without quotes, you were using the groups/indexers tag not the name.
My category name is “tv” (first column) I put that in drone and it works. Also besides episodes, drone doesn’t download anything. The category in drone tells SAB what category to use, whereas Group/IndexerTags would be used for SAB to try and detect that value, either from the indexer’s headers, or from the newsgroup (a.b.tv or a.b.teevee, etc).
that is what i was doing wrong i was using the group tag instead of the category column for the name as soon as i changed that from “tv” to “tv shows” in ND it worked perfectly
thanks mate
perhaps we need to make a wiki entry for stupid questions like the ones i ask you to help people having the same issue as well as good for me to refer back to
have you thought about creating a proper wiki page that you can place a link on the front page of nzbdrone.com i know you have the one on github but i was thinking a seperate one
