When I manually search and add EP 367 of Bleach as 17x01, it deletes the file for 01x01 and replaces it. The tool is unable to automatically search for the file since TheTVDB has the incorrect metadata and release date for this series. Is there any way to prevent Sonarr from deleting files and instead flag a warning on import if there is an existing file? Further, is there any way to usurp TheTVDB in cases like this where it is incorrect? The mods have locked the series and posted it is in accordance to their guidelines to list the new series as a next season…

Needs a XEM mapping, see

Unfortunately, their registrations are closed and their irc is inactive, so I’m stuck waiting for someone else to fix it. Thank you kindly for the expedient solution.

Their IRC is active. Use https://web.libera.chat/ to join

Ah, user error then, pardon my incorrect statement. I haven’t tried to use IRC chat before and it appears to be beyond me even after reading through their guides. I can only connect using SASL, but I have to register a nickname to set that up, but I can only register a nickname if I can connect? Thanks any way.

EDIT: ignore me, I had to disconnect from my VPN.

Having the same issue, it seems to be happening because every single releaser is using Bleach Thousand Year then S01E01 instead of S17E01 like Sonarr wants.

Extremely annoying and it causes incorrect metadata to get sent to Plex, giving me more work to manually change the episode to S17E01 to satisfy Sonarr and Plex.

TVDb/Anidb can be a total PITA sometimes.

Any luck OP?

I manually did this episode, but I started following the #xem thread in the official sonarr discord. They were waiting to see how all the groups were listing it. The mapping should be fixed now and your sonarr should grab it automatically (or manually: go to system -> tasks and manually run the “update scene mapping” task in sonarr). They said it should be good to go for the upcoming episodes.

Sonarr is now downloading episodes from original season 2 due to scene mapping s17 = s02

At this point I put together a release profile in my settings (Sonarr Settings | WikiArr) and that appears to be keeping things tidy. Just make sure to set a tag and tag Bleach with it, otherwise it’ll apply to all your shows.
