Extremely Slow Loading Web UI + iOS Poster Problems

Hey guys,

In many occasions, it takes really long time for Sonarr to load, sometimes more than a minute on desktop. The browser loads fast if it had been loaded/cached few minutes ago, but then later, it loads really slow again. The posters load as if it’s a 56K modem back in 90s, line by line

The desktop I am checking with is a 12 core Mac Pro with SSD and 64GB RAM, around 800 Mb/s up and down network. The Sonarr is installed on Synology 1812+ and running alongside with CP and NZBGet, no other services and more than 70% memory available, processor load below 10-15% and the NAS receiving 65 Mb/s down and 4.25 Mb/s up. I tested during different load scenarios – it’s always the same. I have never had any loading issue with any other package running on the same machine: all of them load very fast.

It’s even worse on mobile. The fastest load time is around 45 seconds, but usually it takes more than a minute and usually loads incorrect posters for shows. It is slightly better if I access via Safari on iPhone (around 45 seconds), but it really suffers if I access Sonarr through shortcut home icon. I tried clearing the cache, resetting network settings and even resetting the phone.

There are no error messages in Sonarr and everything works perfectly, it just takes long time to load.

Requests and their response times are logged in the ((debug logs)), we’ll need those to investigate.

Posters should be cached and they change infrequently that the cache should persist for a while, opening developer tools (depending on settings may cause the cache to be ignored though).

If thats not happening when loading in a desktop browser it sounds like images were cached wrong, clearing the cache should definitely force it to reload the correct ones.

Thank you, Markus, I’ll clear the cache and test again.
