If automatic search or manual search can’t find anything, it would be nice to have a URL option to feed sonarr with. Specials are normally not numbered according to sonarr logic and the manual search won’t allow me to actually download.
If a third option is a url which would download and then be imported according to the sonarr numbering would remove manual moving out of the equation.
if you already have the file from a search you did outside of sonarr then the simplest method is to just add it to your download client yourself
once its in there rename it so that it matches what sonarr is looking for
if its a torrent file set the download location to the same location sonarr files are saved to - this is the xyz folder under your download clients completed folder, where xyz is the category you set in the download client settings in sonarr
if its a usenet file set the category to the sonarr category
sonarr will then notice the download and work it out
if the actual file inside is not to sonarrs liking youll probably need to do a manual import when it completes
Yes, Thats how I’m doing it now. Like I said, it would be a nice feature if I could give sonarr a url during a manual search and have it sent to the downloader based on extension and tag it so it would be imported with the correct episode number.
I’m lazy, it’s an IT thing. If sonarr could import based on episode name it would work as well. That’s why it’s a feature request, right?
