Description of issue: Sonarr is not reading the file name properly and importing shows as wrong episode. I have only found the issue to be with the show American Ninja warrior. File is named s09e07 and it matches it to season 9 episode 6.
I’ll get logs uploaded today.

Talk to TheXEM mods over at #xem freenode irc channel. But from what I see it’s a pretty messy season due to the special being treated differently by various release groups.

TVDB episodes are matched one off, so episode 1 matches to scene and master episode 2, 2 to 3, etc. They should all match to their actual episode numbers, so 1 to 1, 2 to 2, etc. I would like to make the change in a draft myself, but registrations are closed. If that's the case then I don't think xem data would be needed, since each episode would be a direct passthru to master if episode 13 was removed from scene and master.

Doing a search for the celebrity ninja warrior episode from that season gives a few results for S09E00 torrents, so would it be appropriate to remove E13 from scene and master, add E00 and map S00E23 from tvdb to S09E00 for scene and master? That way all the other episodes could map to their corresponding actual numbers.

I'll keep a better eye on it anyway, and probably stop tracking it once a good release is downloaded. Sorry for the confusion, didn't realize the numbering convention for this season was this messed up before I asked about this, thanks for the help everyone!

but why does that matter? Filename is s01e01 and Sonarr is going to disregard that?
Yes, coz the filenames are ‘wrong’, plenty of times scene vs tvdb disagree on what ‘episode x’ is. TheXEM is used to map those differences.
What scene called S01E01, tvdb calls a special. The Series Folder in Sonarr follows tvdb numbering and thus must be translated.
