I just adjusted the quality settings to 600 for 60 minutes, 800 for 60 minutes, and 1,000 for 60 minutes (10, 13.3, 16.7). Sonar immediately updated all shows. I pressed RSS and Sonarr sent 7 of the 10 episodes that are current on my calendar to qBittorrent. I checked qBittorrent and all looks good except Brilliant Minds at 1.98 gigs for 42 minutes, and Criminal Minds at 2.22 gigs for 56 minutes. As you can see both of these are more than double what their max file size should be. Any idea what might be going on?

Sometime between 9AM and 10AM PST this morning next week’s Criminal Minds was grabbed S19E06. It is the right episode from mousing through it, but once again much larger than it should be. 1.72 gigs for a 52 minute episode that should have been 867 megs at max. Even though I have unlimited bandwidth I still would rather have Sonarr not grab files that are double or more than the max they should be.

Sounds similar to (maybe the same as) this Reddit thread, which calls out ShowRss specifically, because it doesn’t provide sizes Sonarr is unable to enforce size limits and allows things instead of blocking everything and making the indexer useless in Sonarr.

Yea that’s my thread I created cause I never got a response here. I however missed the Show RSS part. The logs will show where something was downloaded from, right? I’ll leave it as is for now and when it happens again I’ll search the logs to see which indexer the item(s) were grabbed from.

Yeah, shown in the logs as well as the grab event in history.
