Download Italian language

Hey, I need som help. Sonarr keeps downloading italian for some series. I have made an release profile Must not containt .ITA. ITA but it still downloads Italian first. Please help me with this

Sonarr version (exact version):
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows):
OS:
Debug logs:
Description of issue:

I am NOT very knowledgeable on this, but I set mine up to avoid Italian by putting in the whole word. The srt file has ITA in the name, but the actual full release seems to have Italian in the file name.

Hey, thanks for the respond but ive tried that. In release profile ive set allt kinda things, ITA, Italian, italian, Italy, ita. But still no luck

Must / must not only looks at the release name. If the release name doesn’t contain the word you want to avoid, you’ll never be able to block it that way.

Thanks, I get that. The release it downloaded had exactly ITA in the series name. Ive put in .ITA, ITA, ita. Every possible way but it still finds it and puts it as priority download

Don’t know if this will help, but here is how I found out why Italian releases were still showing up after I had created a release profile that was supposed to reject them.

tl;dr version: 1) I mistakenly used a regular expression rather than just the word “Italian” in the release profile. 2) I had not activated and then saved my release profile.

Side note: I look at Usenet files, not torrents. Might be completely different for someone using torrents.

BEGIN HERE

You have a specific episode of a show that Sonarr is grabbing, but you don’t want it because it is Italian. You have set up some requirements of things that NOT be present in a release title.
— Good.
It isn’t working.
— Bad.
We need to debug the problem.

MY EXPERIENCE

I wanted to see whether Sonarr has flagged that release to be rejected, and why.

In the Sonarr web interface, I went to the show, series, episode.

A page appeared with three tabs: Details, History, and Search. I clicked on the Search tab.

On the next page I clicked on “Interactive Search.” This brought up a list of all the matches that Sonarr found in the Indexers I have provided, I think.

In the list, I located the line with a release I wanted to be ignored.

On the far right of the table is a column with the two download buttons/icons. Just to the left of that column is a rejection column. A red circle indicates Sonarr has flagged the release NOT to be grabbed. When I click on the red circle for a specific release, I see why the release is being rejected.

In my case I was trying to ignore Italian releases. But one was showing up. I checked my release quality setting and found I had used asterisks around Italian, thinking I needed a regular expression. I removed the asterisks in the release profile, made sure the profile was selected, saved it, and tried again. Now the release was properly rejected and the red circle told me why.

APOLOGIES

This is a terribly long description, and may be of no use. I did computer support for 30 years and learned that describing steps is not as valuable as,showing. But recording my Sonarr screen is not advised I guess.

Good luck.

Thanks so much, I did that and it says on that release with Italian "containts ignored TERMS: ITA
It has that red cirlce with a line in it.
Dont know what it means really. It looks like this

It’s an exclamation mark, meaning there was one or more reasons why the release was rejected by sonarr, and it wouldn’t be grabbed automatically. Too big, too small, “must not contain” words, wrong quality, … any number of reasons will do.
Hover over the exclamation mark and it will tell you the reason(s).

It says this: attached pic from my mac

So it’s doing what you asked, block anything with “ita” in the release name…

Your absolutely right but the problem is that it still downloaded a ita version of the series

Ok so i just deleted the profile and did it again, seems to work now. Will try it and hope for the best, maybe some glitch
