Do I need to update Mono?

Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.5344
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): 5.2.0.215
OS: MacOS High Sierra - 10.13.6

Description of issue: Hi guys, quick question here. Do i need to update Mono on MacOS to latest version if everything is running perfectly fine? I have no issues with Sonarr currently or anything else. Will this improve anything speed or performance wise for Sonarr? Or should i just leave it alone? I saw a post some users talking about Mono update, reminded me.

i’d leave it alone. no one has ever had a good experience upgrading mono when it wasnt actually required.

Interesting question. I should wait with updating until Sonarr has introduced a new version, to be used with that Mono version.

We recommend ru9nning mono 5.20 (not 5.2), but not mono 6+. Definitely best to upgrade to mono 5.20 at this time and leave it there.
