At my whits end here. Sonarr has been working perfectly for a year and suddenly last week it just stopped resolving DNS for any link, including internal links as well as indexers.
I have no issues with resolving DNS in any other form on this pc.
Highlights of what I have tried:
Windows firewall is disabled
Reboot pc many times
Reboot router, etc.
Reinstall multiple times
Tried different DNS servers
Installed on another server within the same network and it worked with no issues
Hardcoding in hosts file
Adding exceptions in webroot
Completely shut down Webroot
Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks!
how are you running sonarr? service or user? I tried both.
if a service then i think you can check the system proxy from an escalated command prompt and netsh winhttp show proxy Did not try this. Great idea.
do the logs show any other network issues? There were no network issues according to any logs within the system.
have you double checked your router hasnt sandboxed it? some allow you to block/limit what a machine can access via the internet I verified that this was not the case.
can you browse the internet from that machine as a user without any issues? same for a manual ping of services.sonarr.tv? I could browse to any site and resolve any and all IP addresses without issue; however, I did notice that Dropbox was also unable to connect. As far as I could tell, these were the only two applications experiencing issues
Thank you for the assistance,
I noticed that several hours after my final working download, Microsoft took it upon itself to install patches; nothing worked after that. I decided as a last resort to restore my system to the restore point Microsoft created for me and that resolved all issues.
While correlation is obviously not causation, this certainly seems suspect.
