Different Monitor types and what they mean

This is more of a support issue than a bug:
There are several Monitor type options and rather than assume I wonder if someone, who knows definitively, what they do:

All
Future
Missing
Existing
First Season
Latest Season

The reason I ask is I became confused when I set all my ended series to Missing and it marked all of the last seasons as being monitored even though they were complete. I’m not saying that’s wrong I just started wondering why. Also if I select Missing on an ended series and the series starts up again does it fetch the new episodes? Isn’t that the same then as Future?
I believe the answers to these sorts of questions would be beneficial in the wiki, I came from Sickbeard and in that I monitored the series or I didn’t. (Actually I monitored everything, but thems were the options) Sonarr seems much more powerful and I think it’d be beneficial if the options had a little description to clarify.

There is a window where the episodes will be monitored after the series is added and the disk is scanned before the change takes place, but that should happen quite quickly after the series is added.

If you have all the files on disk already, then yes, otherwise no.
