Hello! First, thanks to all the devs - this is an incredible piece of software and I fell head overs heels for it almost immediately after install.
I use Sonarr exclusively with torrents, Broadcasthe.net specifically, connected to Deluge for handling downloads. BTN will regularly delete episodes that were trumped or, more commonly, when a season release is available. As is, when this happens I end up with a lot of dead torrents in Deluge that I’m not getting any upload on. Is Sonarr aware of when a torrent errors out, even after it’s done downloading? Can I setup Sonarr to detect when these torrents error out and download the new versions or the season releases?
At the moment Sonarr doesn’t handle errors for torrents, its something we’ll be looking at in a future release.
I don’t think we’ll handle the automatic grabbing of the season pack though, it adds a lot of complexity for a very specific combination, but we may re-consider this.
I would be willing to look into removing the torrent if already imported and tracker reports it no longer exists, if the deluge api properly forwards the error.
We can add that to trello but only at low priority.
TBH, it’s little effort to go through Deluge every week or so at your leisure and remove such torrents. I do it myself.
Automatically replacing it with a season pack, no, I don’t think that’s something we’ll be willing to support.
Cool, thanks guys! Fast reply, and it makes sense why the season pack stuff would be a pain to add. Hopefully the Deluge API properly forwards the error - I’ll keep my eye for that feature coming up. Until then, yeah, minimal effort to clean out Deluge.
