Delay processing until entire season is aired/available

Like many, I prefer to wait until a series/season is complete before watching it. In its current state, Sonarr will grab the episodes and send them to the Plex library as they air.

I think it would be a great feature if we could set episodes to be grabbed/downloaded as usual, but prevent them from being sent to the plex folder until that episodes entire season has aired and been downloaded. An “all or none” sort of option, for ongoing shows.

When enabled, this would prevent users from seeing a show they want to binge only to realize the season isn’t complete yet; or, worse, starting a show only to realize it wasn’t able to find a mid-season episode.

I’m no coder so can’t guess how hard it would be to implement, but I do think this would a very useful option for a good number of users!

I would like something like this. Currently I have a hack to block single episode downloads using a Release Profile but this has a few downsides:

  1. Sonarr doesn’t understand it so it shows the episodes as “unsatisfied” once they air even if the full season isn’t finished. This can also result in unnecessary searching and similar.
  2. I don’t get to participate in the individual episode swarms or seed at all until the session is finished.

On the other hand the upside of waiting until the session is done is that I know I get a complete pack and don’t waste storage space until I am done watching.
