Dealing with unwanted naming schemes in usenet downloads

Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.5085
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): 5.2.0
OS: FreeNAS 11.1

I’m looking for a way to get rid of the -xpost / -postbot in the names of releases downloaded from usenet.

Here is a sample.
18-2-8 11:06:41.8|Info|Sabnzbd|Adding report [Violet.Evergarden.S01E03.1080p.WEB.x264.1-MEMENTO-xpost] to the queue.

The file is then renamed per my rules to:
[xpost] Violet.Evergarden.S01E03.003.May.You.Be.an.Exemplary.Auto.Memoir.Doll.WEBDL-1080p.x264.EAC3 instead of
[MEMENTO] Violet.Evergarden.S01E03.003.May.You.Be.an.Exemplary.Auto.Memoir.Doll.WEBDL-1080p.x264.EAC3

The easiest way is to just exclude xpost released via a “must not contain” rule but there are times when the original fails to download due to missing / bad blocks and the -xpost release works. Is there another quick fix to remedy this issue?

Would I want to create a post processing script in sabnzbd or for sonarr?

Thanks in advance

Sonarr will handle this in the next release.

If you want to deal with it now you’d want to have a SAB post processing script clean the filename.

Thank you for the update!
