Description of issue:
So long story short I am trying to figure out a WORKING setup that will handle completed downloads. I currently have Deluge running as a daemon and the functionality of snatching and downloading is working fine from IPT with the help of Jacket. What I cannot get to work is the post processing upon completion.

I have tried: Using Deluge Extractor Plugin to unpack but it does not work most of the time. Using a third party extractor program but then Sonarr does not import. I am back to using SickRage for post processing because it catches the finished episodes since it unpacks them itself. But I would prefer to use only Sonarr because it is leaps and bounds better at selecting appropriate torrents and should be able to do post processing. (8GB 720p episode anyone?)

Ideally I would like to copy files so I can continue to seed them but if that’s not an option I will live. Also avoiding using Drone Factory unless it’s truly the long term solution.

What is your setup?

IPT RSS can run without Jackett. Jackett is only needed for searches.

Try installing the SimpleExtractor egg (GitHub - chrishuan9/deluge-extractor: Modified extractor plugin for the deluge torrent client)
Leave “extract to” empty and check “extract torrent in place”
Set a ratio in deluge for the torrents, so Sonarr can delete them after reaching the ratio.
Make sure Sonarr is set to “Use Hardlinks instead of Copy”
And make sure the labels between Sonarr and deluge match.

Thank you for the reply!

Quick Question… I assume I can keep the active and complete directories in Deluge. (’‘Download to’’ and ‘‘Move completed to’’) or should I change this?

As far as seeding, I usually delete them manually since I set the Ratio to unlimited (I have my reasons) is this going to cause any problem with Sonnar?

I use Jacket when I am searching for new or obscure content. I have the RSS feeds setup though. I am still a little hands on with my media collection. Granted the auto renaming has been a godsend.

Should work, but I don’t use it so not 100% sure.

The reason I don’t use it, is because for me “move to” is kind of redundant with Sonarr’s import function. Because Sonarr will know when it is finished, and then hardlink it to my media directory I couldn’t care less where the completed torrent is stored.

If ratio is set to unlimited, the torrent is seeding, and Sonarr will not remove it from the list.
