Change timezone within nzbDrone

Is it possible to change the timezone that nzbDrone uses? I understand that it is utilising my Linux server’s time settings to determine that I’m in the UK and showing calendar entries accordingly, however I would like it to show the calendar as though I was in the EST timezone.

Is it possible to do this without changing the underlying timezone settings on the server (which I cannot change due to other constraints)?

Actually it uses the timezone of the browser, all times that are used for display are sent as UTC to the browser and the browser displays them accordingly.

I don’t see this as something we will implement.

Ok - thanks for the clarification.

From a UK user who watches almost exclusively US content, it’s very confusing when shows are displayed as appearing on the day after they actually air (as they’re often on at 1 or 2 the next morning UK time), so if that could be a setting somewhere in config to override the browser it would be really useful, I think, for non-US users.

Thats the opposite of what I hear from most people, but regardless, its not something we’re going to consider, dealing with times and timezones is tricky enough, I think this would open us up to a whole host of issues.

Hmm. I (and a lot of others) have been wanting Sickbeard to display times locally for years now, so the fact that Drone actually does is a major plus. The “coming soon” list in SB would always been a day wrong (I’m in Australia), so I find it 1000% more useful to have the times in Drone actually local to me, so I know exactly when the show is airing. Even if it’s 1 or 2 in the morning, at least you know it’s accurate

Fair enough - maybe it’s just me that’s weird

Great job with the software guys!
