hi i have sonarr running on Unraid server as a docker
it can search for the shows and it will get transmission to download them
i have the check box set to rename and i set it up as name (year) - s01e01 - sample
but it leaves it as the file it downloaded and in the transmission completed folder…
i did try google… and some ppl talked about a sab but i dunno what a sab is… and i not sure what info is needed to get help so hopefully you guys know and let me know what i need to send
also if i manual rename and move it to the folder… when sonarr rescans next day sometimes it re downloads the same file even though its already been added to the folder… what is going on? i tried support in unraid sonar help but no reply
No. All your Dockers need to work as a single file system or your hardlinks won’t work.
Some important parts from the linked guide
To get Hardlinks and Atomic-Moves working with unRAID, You will need to make use of ONE share with subfolders.
Note
Keep in mind, regarding the use of the cache drive, unRAID’s integrated mover cannot move files that are in use, like seeding torrents. You will need to stop/pause the torrents so the mover can move the files from the cache to your array.
If you use qBittorrent you can automate the process by following the following Guide [HERE]
If you use Deluge you can automate the process by following the following Guide [HERE]
@fanboy ok not sure what you mean all my dockers need to point as a single file system
i do have them all linked to the same download folder
/user/temp/tempvideos
so transmission is
/done = /user/temp/tempvideos
and
sonarr
/downloads = /user/temp/tempvideos
/data/media/tv = /user/videos/tv shows
so if thats totally wrong what it should look like? as images help me learning
and for my mover… i dont use a mover… so
like
my incomplete Transmission downloads is
/mnt/download_drive/transmission/incomplete
and when its completed it moves itself to the array
/mnt/user/temp/tempvideos
so torrent seeding would be at
/mnt/user/temp/tempvideos <inside transmssion it is /done>
since im a visual learner is there a good video to show how to do it correctly. or screen shots would help greatly… as i thought i did it right
ill google more for a proper video to setup sonarr with unraid as im sure its something simple i missed that i did wrong
followed one video and set tags
so under sonnar i have
/tv point to /mnt/user/videos/tv shows
/downloads point to /mnt/user/temp/tempvideos
/comp point to /mnt/user/temp/tempvideos
/comp/tv-sonarr the tag tv-sonarr under transmission indexer
under transmission
/comp points to /mnt/user/temp/tempvideos
/downloads points to /mnt/user/temp/tempvideos
the default location i set for downloads /comp
and there is no error on the status page… but if i click on Wanted
it says the tv show it searches for under status says not found on disk… yet it told transmission to download it and it downloaed it and it placed it in the /comp folder
so it should all be working
Not sure which video you watched or what /comp is but I would ignore that.
The Trash guide I linked has screenshots, and links to an Ibracorp video that is probably a good place to start (they also have a new series they are posting, inlcuding setting up Sonarr).
You still have a split file system and have not achieved
To get Hardlinks and Atomic-Moves working with unRAID, You will need to make use of ONE share with subfolders.
If you are having trouble translating the paths to your setup, I would suggest using the folder structure suggested so you can follow the guide. Same with choosing a different downloader to one that is included in the guide.
no files found are eligable for import in /comp/tv-sonarr/
but it downloaded it… it says it downloaded it… its waiting to import but it didnt rename it
/comp = downloaded file location
/comp/tv-sonarr = downloaded tv sonarr
/tv = /user/mnt/videos/tvshows/ = folder for tv shows and the sub folder action, comedy etc
but i can change
/tv to /data/media/tvshows if /tv isnt good enough
so i re read that link
so that means i cant have my tv shows and videos under
got it working it doesnt delete the video from the tv-sonarr tag folder… but it leasts copys and renames it into the proper folder
i guess u gotta manually delete… or is there an option it automaticlly purges and removes it from transmission client… or u just gotta manually click in transmission to delete the file
ah ok, ya so far i got it to place in the tv-sonarr folder… then sonar copys and renames it in the proper tv show location
it just doesnt delete it from the tv-sonarr folder or remove it from the transmission seeding
since my internet so sloow less then 400kb/s upload i have it set to 0 seeding least thats what i thought… but ill have to re see how to adjust that so it will automtaticlly delete and remove
learn something new everyday… least the main part of copying nad renaming is working now
