Can I pause all activity?

Just curious if its possible to pause all activity in sonarr? This would include checking RSS feeds, downloading and also processing files. Passive activity such as updating itself or the calendar would be fine. I am running it on a Linux server so pausing all activity through the web page would be preferable to logging into the server and killing the process. (Shutdown and Restart under System does nothing by the way). It would be great to have a pause button under System that just basically said stop everything and just sit there idle for now.

Depends on how Sonarr is being started, Upstart for example will respawn Sonarr if it goes down, either because it crashed or it was shutdown.

There isn’t a way to do this and its not something we’re considering. Why would you want to stop processing? You’d be better off suspending downloads in your download client than stopping Sonarr from processing things.

Ok thanks. I could do what you suggest but I noticed there was also no option to add to the download client as paused. Or am I just not seeing it? Also if I left it long enough all the links might be dead anyway and I would have to do some cleanup manually.

Either the download client is enabled or it isn’t, but if its not Sonarr won’t try to download anything and won’t keep track of things it would have grabbed if the download client was enabled.
