Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

I am using the latest sonarr version as far as I know, also the latest utorrent and Windows 10 creators.

I configured Sonarr with a xspeeds.eu rss feed, I tested it (using the test button) and it seemed to work, I also configured utorrent with sonarr and I also clicked the test button and it seemed to work. I added a few shows in sonarr and set it to download all files it could, old, new, any resolution, etc Both utorrent and sonarr server are running perfectly. I am very aware that with an rss feed the search and download option doesn’t work but I know it should at least get something every 15 minutes and download in utorrent, right?

My problem is nothing is downloading, even if I let my PC sit still for hours, nothing will download.

Any idea what the problem is?

Thanks!

Have you read the ((FAQ))? Sonarr will RSS feeds for things you’re missing, but unless something you need is in that RSS feed Sonarr won’t be sending downloads to your client.

Thanks for your reply!

Yeah, I have 3 shows I set up in sonarr for testing, saturday night live, game of thrones and john oliver.

I don’t have any files in my computer related to any of those shows. I use xspeeds.eu and I know for a fact that site gets updated quickly with all of these shows and more, so sonarr should be getting these files as far as I know.

Unless xspeeds.eu RSS feed doesn’t work?

The first two are not current airing and Last Week Tonight doesn’t air until tonight, so you won’t know whether that RSS feed is working properly until after a new episode is released, unless old episodes are reposted.

Oh, I was under the impression that sonar would download everything I was missing, it didn’t matter if it was new or not. That’s why I made a test with game of thrones, I didn’t have any episode downloaded and I told sonar to look for everything related to game of thrones.

So you are saying it only looks for new uploads, right?

This makes sense.

Yes, whether those are for new or old episodes, it just has to end up on the RSS feed, which is newly posted items only.

Searching is the way to immediately search for old episodes and without it having to be on the RSS feed.

if you are searching by RSS feeds then yes you will only get new uploads, if the indexer supports searching through sonarr then it can grab older episodes as well. (most of the indexers in sonarr doesn’t support this outright and only support RSS, but you can grab a program called jackett that has a ton of indexers and they support searching for older episodes)

Thank you for your help, both of you. I guess that makes sense, my bad not knowing exactly how the rss feed worked.

The problem with using the search method is that xspeeds and while I did think about using jackett I figured the rss method was fine since I don’t download too many shows and I never see them right after they air.

Thanks!
